Eight Noble Miniatures for Flute and Harp

Eight Noble Miniatures for Flute and Harp

£15.00

David V. Montoya

Of the four Noble Truths of Buddhism, the last is the Eightfold Path to happiness and to the elimination of suffering. Eight Noble Miniatures is a meditation on that philosophy. This path is often pictured as a wheel with eight spokes. Each spoke on the wheel represents a way of seeing life from a compassionate point of view, for both oneself and for others. In my setting each movement stands for each spoke, beginning and ending with Right Mindfulness.

Wee Tunes for Harp

Wee Tunes for Harp

£12.99

New music composed in the Scottish Borders
Hannah Haynes
Originally from “down South” (England), Hannah has lived in Scotland for nearly all of her adult life, from the age of 24. Hannah’s music is influenced both by her classical training, and by her love of the landscape in which she lives, in the Scottish Borders. The tunes here are very loosely progressive in terms of their difficulty level, from “advanced beginner” level onwards. The most difficult piece in the book, A Linton Love Lilt, sits at about grade 5.
