Commisioned by Glasgow Univerity for the retirement of Prof. Keith Vickerman. The work celebrates his outstanding achievments in the study of trypanosomes, the casuative agents of sleeping sickness in humans, and provides a bridge between the creativity of the worlds of art and science. The work was first performed at the University of Glasgow, on 24 September 1998, by his daughter the harpist Louise Vickerman.
