"I was inspired to write this piece when my three young grandchildren from Florida came to South Wales to explore their family roots. I took them to Pontneddfechan, near Neath, South Wales and I was quite captivated by their infectious joy and delight at experiencing their first waterfalls. My grandson Trevor, having heard my first play-through later was even inspired to take up the harp when he returned to Florida. The piece is in ternary form and I hope as you perform, that you can bring a sense of this joy and wonder to your audience." Derek Thomas
