	Annwn The 'Otherworld' in Welsh mythology, and a key place in the tales of the Mabinogion. Ruled by Arawn, it was essentially a world of delights and eternal youth, where disease is absent and food is ever-abundant... "I have always had a great interest in Welsh mythology, and traditional Welsh music which comes from and evokes these ancient times. Inspired by the fabulous stories of the Mabinogion, I have called my latest musical journey Annwn, which conjures up images of worlds created by authors such as Tolkien and CS Lewis. The journey starts with this CD, a new collection of traditional Welsh music, all my own arrangements, some accompanied, some solo, in what is a very modern and up to date style. 	From Coast To Coast During February to March, 2002 I embarked on a tour of the USA, organised for me by Young Concert Artists Inc. in New York. Covering almost 30,000 miles, I spent over 5 weeks playing a total of 24 recitals in 11 States. This CD is based on those recitals. 	String Theory CF47 - The Catrin Finch Band In the summer of 2004 I got asked to give a Concert in Lyon, France, with a Big Band. I thought it was a strange idea, but was excited to find Out how it would sound. The main concerns were balance, and how the sound of the harp would mix with the brass sound, and indeed what we would play! It was a great success, and above all a lot of FUN! So, on the Eurostar journey home I texted a good friend of mine Tom Watson (an amazing trumpeter with whom I studied at the Royal Academy), and asked if he would be interested in joining us with such a project and helping with the arrangements etc. He said he would certainly give it a go so, our project began in the autumn of 2004.
